Jennie For Kids Jennie
Avila sings popular and original children's songs with a warm and playful
presence. She accompanies herself with acoustic guitar, conga drum,
and exotic percussion, (including a Japanese kokiriko that looks and
sounds like a snake vertebrae). Audience participation is Jennie has appeared nationally in schools, coffeehouses and festivals. She has performed on stage with Pete Seeger, Trout Fishing in America, and John Flynn. Her song "The Spider and The Butterfly" was included on the WXPN Kid's Corner compilation entitled "Live and In Curlers". She is a returning instructor for Young Writers Day (www.youngwritersday.net) and the New Jersey Teen Arts Festival (www.teenarts.org). Watch out for her wild birdcalls! "My
